This phenomenal story is about a young nutritionist Shikha. She was just at the beginning of her career with big dreams in her eyes. Like other ambitious youths, the desire to reach remarkable success was making her stressful. She was wondering how long it will take to live all her dreams. At times, the desperation to be at the peak of success was making her restless.
In stopping all other thoughts you also stop resistance. Resistance is the negative emotion you feel when you think about what you want, but in a way that feels bad. It is when you give more attention to what you don’t have, and feel bad, rather than giving attention to what you want, in a way that feels good to you. In both cases you are thinking about what you wish to manifest, however one is focused in a way that allows it manifest, and the other is focused on the lack of what you want, and that keeps it from coming.
But, after seeing The Secret in 2006, I started digging deeper in how to practice creating my reality with my mind. I started attending the School of Metaphysics, which is an excellent course of study in the powers of mind. Armed with some level of knowledge of the LoA, and what I’d learned and practiced at the School, I decided to facilitate a Law of Attraction book study group - where we studied and practiced exercises around Wallace Wattles’ Science of Getting Rich, and Napoleon Hill’s Think and Grow Rich. I developed a manifestation practice where my Mexico dream was top. I imagined myself retired - relieved from the stress of selling real estate… in an area of Mexico that reportedly has the world’s second best climate… where I’d visited only briefly 10 years previous, but knew from that brief encounter that that little village was where I wanted to live in Mexico when I retired.
Develop a belief in what I call the “reverse paradigm shift”. In other words, go for it before you have all the answers. Those so called negative energies (known as cognitive dissonance) are actually the magical seeds of creation and unlimited possibilities. Your destiny and your abundance will always be preceded by confusion and uncertainty. Ask anyone who’s been on the journey.
Here’s the thing: you can only attract that to which you are a match, and if you are hiding who you really are, or are trying to construct some ‘perfect’ version of yourself you believe makes you more attractive as a potential mate, you will only attract other people who are putting up these same facades. You will never make any true connections—you’re being inauthentic and everyone you meet is being inauthentic, and eventually it will all come to the surface in some way. One of the reasons people struggle to meet the right person is because everyone is just walking around, faking it.
Well what you are talking about, I experience constantly but it is not THAT LAW OF ATTRACTION we want to experience. No later than yesterday I experienced this stuff. I’ve been very busy lately but for some days already, I set my goal on: being in LA for Christmas (I live in Europe). Yesterday afternoon, I run errands and I discover a store full of Christmas decorations. I walk in: it’s full or American products and the music plays the usual American songs I use to hear in LA stores. I come home. Since I moved recently my TV was connected to cable only 2 days ago. I turn on TV. Watever channel I went on, everything was about LA from The Real housewife’s of Beverly Hills, to the Kardashians,to other european programs. I should have counted how many times I saw the word Hollywood pop in front of my eyes. It was non stop until I went to bed.
I set his phone on the bathroom counter and without a second thought, threw open the shower curtain, turned off the water, and said; “Get the fuck out.” I watched him pull on his shorts in the hallway, still dripping wet, one leg and then the other as I pointed to the front door. He kissed our son goodbye, tossed his ring in my general direction, and walked out slamming the door behind him.
At this stage, the principle of ‘Divine and Perfect Timing’ will put you and your Soulmate together at the right place and at the right time for you to meet. Your job from this point forward is to continue to hold the intention of the ‘what’, while you let God or the Universe figure out the ‘when’ or the ‘how’. Why? Because we cannot control the time and place when this will happen, but we certainly can control our ability to feel good, be optimistic, open to love and continue to do the necessary inner work that will magnetize our soulmate to us.
9) Finally, learn to fall in love with yourself fully. The more you learn to fully love and accept yourself, the more you’ll learn to recognize other peoples’ love, too. Begin by loving yourself and accepting yourself just the way you are, with all your quirks and idiosyncrasies (and we all have them). Work on accepting your weaknesses, your strengths, your limitations, your guilt and insecurities as part of your make-up.
“As I began to ‘unstick’ myself from old, tired and frankly boring thoughts around ‘how I wouldn’t meet anyone’ or ‘how, I wasn’t attractive enough’ thanks to a new routine including meditation and taking action like going to several of your workshops, I began to notice several things. Firstly: I looked younger, something I was initially told by people and then I could see myself. And secondly, I have noticed more available, interested men around me. I’ll keep you updated on how it goes from here!”
When you’re ready, use meditative technique of your choice to calm the thoughts in your mind – focus on your breathing or on a single object in front of you. If your thoughts wonder off, let them, don’t be disturbed about it, just notice that you were distracted (it’s normal) and gently bring back your attention to the object of meditation. When you sense that you’re fully relaxed and that your mind isn’t wondering anymore, you can go to the next stage.
Something inside me snapped in that moment. A light went on, deep in my core, followed by a burning desire to never put myself or my children in this kind of position again. I made a promise to myself right then that I would not rely on anyone to provide for my family. I wouldn’t borrow money from family members; I wouldn’t beg for help. I would somehow pay my girlfriend back, and figure out how to handle my business on my own. Before I’d always just thought I was unlucky and entitled to what little help I’d ever received. All my life I’d told myself this story, and believed it. Nothing good ever happens to me. I work twice as hard as everyone else for half as much. That was my core belief. And as a result, that was my life. No one ever told me that my life was the result of my thoughts, my beliefs and my actions. I believed that the only thing I could control was how hard I worked (#TheHustle), but that on its own left me feeling like I was drowning in quicksand, no matter how hard I worked, the results never showed. It took the catastrophe of that night, when my world collapsed in an instant, to spark within me a desire to drastically change my life.
This means that you may have to wait, while the Universe engineers the perfect and ideal timing for the two of you to come together, and learn to be patient while you deepen your faith, and your ability to give and receive love. If you and your soulmate have not met yet it is very likely that one of you have unfinished business or might be completing a relationship cycle with another person.
Another of the best ways to attract money is to ensure you spend the wealth you have on things that really matter. When you live in a way that aligns with your values, you get much money pleasure from spending and develop a much more positive relationship with money. And when you view money in a positive, loving way, you’ll attract more money instantly!
Our current state of affairs, whether it is in the realm of love, money, or any other aspect of our life, is always serving us in some way. We are getting some benefit from how things are now, no matter how absurd that seems to your conscious mind. But, here’s the thing..the part of you calling the shots is your subconscious mind, and there are all sorts of crazy thoughts, and limiting beliefs, floating around there that sabotage you in countless ways.
Step 1: Essentially, you need to make the decision that you really want to attract this life partner. Then, truly commit to the idea of spending the rest of your life with this person. Making this commitment may involve processing old wounds (e.g. via journaling or therapy). Hopefully, the past can be left behind and you can opt to embrace hope instead of fear.
