Just like the good old tracks that the sled follows down the mountain. And so we tell the same old story, over and over, about why we have our childhood wounds, and about how bad our previous relationship was, how we got dumped, how we’re not being loved the way we want to be, how unequal this relationship is, how we have these abandonment issues, how they cheated on us, how we’re too old to find love, too fat, too skinny, too white, too black, too gay, too straight, too poor, too rich, too unstable, too unreliable, afraid of commitment, too demanding… Blah, blah, blah. PLEASE STOP! The more you tell the same old story, the more you’re perpetuating it in your experience and the more you’re blocking love from coming into your life. Why? Because you keep focusing on it.
In stopping all other thoughts you also stop resistance. Resistance is the negative emotion you feel when you think about what you want, but in a way that feels bad. It is when you give more attention to what you don’t have, and feel bad, rather than giving attention to what you want, in a way that feels good to you. In both cases you are thinking about what you wish to manifest, however one is focused in a way that allows it manifest, and the other is focused on the lack of what you want, and that keeps it from coming.
Step 4 is important for two reasons. The first is that it aligns you with your desires. The entire concept behind the Law of Attraction is that like attracts like. When you take action as if you’ve already gotten what you desire, you are sending a huge, loud and clear message to the universe that you’re serious. Actions speak louder than words, right?
Once you have your vision, and after you have shared it with the right people, then you have to get to work – painstakingly difficult, but rewarding work – and you must take a relentless approach to it. There will be days when you work till you feel like your eyes will start bleeding, but you must, as Frank McKinney advises, “take the lunch pail approach” to your legacy.
Amazing, that’s what happen with me and my ex, we would break up and he would date other woman, and I would feel extremely insecure, jealous, crazy, and etc then he would put pics up of one chic and then cut me off. I was devastated, so now I got Elizabeth’s book and I am working on me, so that I can get the LOVE OF MY LIFE back and FOR GOOD this time, in my heart I truly, truly, truly believe we are SOULMATES, everyone tells me, that I should just move on, that I am a beautiful young lady and I will find someone else and that he’s not that into me, etc, but we where together for 4 years going on 5, and I had alot of negative doubts, and insecurities and we kept breaking up. But, I truly believe that he and I are meant to be, and I am so excited that I brought the book and am reading it, taking the steps, and working on me. Best of luck!!!!
A wish box is an interesting approach. I had done something similar years ago. I created a box, colored it pink and then put in it all the words and a picture of a person I wanted to meet. I put the box away and didn’t think about it much. About six months or so later, I met a guy that looked so similar to the one I wanted to meet, it was scary! A bell definitely went off.
I don’t have any rituals per se, but there are certain things I do that help me feel more abundant. When I am enjoying something I paid for, whether a tasty meal, a massage or something else that gives me pleasure in some way, I really try to tune into the feeling of appreciation I have for it, and the sense of contentment I feel in that moment. I also try to develop a sense of appreciation for having money to pay bills..rather than feel like I am putting my money towards something I don’t want to put it towards, I express appreciation that I have the money to pay the bill. Awhile back, I went through really bad times financially, and the inability to pay my bills created a lot of shame and embarrassment, and I am happy not to be experiencing that anymore.
I own this and Ask and It Is Given. I have to say these books have changed my life and am already rereading them. I like the kindle versions because I can add bookmarks, which are nearly every page. I always thought I had a good attitude in life but felt that I was not breaking past a certain point. These books helped me realize that I was not allowing the things I wanted to manifest. As soon as I changed this pattern of thought, it was like flipping the light switch on. This book is not only about money, I feel the title is a marketing ploy, the middle section is about health and the end is about career. I just got through cancer and was told by some friends that I had somehow brought it on myself. I've never felt good about believing that people can invite illness, tragedy, even death. After reading sections of this book, I can see the point of view, I'm not totally convinced but I'm more open to understanding. In general, these books do offer a perspective that is wise and grounded in common sense. That's why I like them. They're not asking you to believe or have faith in things that quite honestly don't make sense. All I know is I feel good and great things are happening in my life.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading these stories that demonstrate successfully using one's imagination to create experiences in keeping with desires. They may not be from our current times, but are universal and timeless. I feel Inspired to apply these examples to my own life. I am also a student of Abraham as taught by Esther Hicks and these examples fit perfectly with those teachings.
This isn’t mumbo jumbo or some pseudoscience; this is real and exact. There is a precise way to manifest virtually any amount of money into your life over time using the Law of Attraction as long as you don’t waver from your approach and your expectation of that outcome. As long as you don’t get discouraged and give up on that expected outcome, it will eventually come to pass.
Holy Smokes! I freaking love this article you’ve shared Gabriel (and everything else on your site might I add!). That last sentence you shared about blessing my beloved and I and knowing that we are already deeply connected on a soul level… Feel it. I believe that stumbling onto this blog of yours is an indication of my commitment to grow and call my beloved man in. Something inside me felt called to have a google around tonight and I got you. Amongst other books and resources I have been working through to grow in the last year and a half, I am deeply resonating with everything I’ve seen on your site and I’ve had a good little look around! I would love to connect. Possibly for some one-on-one coaching and would even love to potentially have you on my podcast and interview you there so you can share all of your wisdom on matters of the heart.
I know the LOA says when you want to manifest a specific person you have to be willing to lose them – you have to let go and be ok with not being with them in order to manifest the relationship you want. It also says that you should visualize the relationship you want with this person as if you already have it. How can one do both? How can I imagine being in a relationship with this person but let them go and be ok with not the being with them at the same time?
Each "failed" relationship has given you clues about what you want in your ideal partner. The problem is, many women and men focus on the negative instead of the positive. For example, by saying that you don't want a man who "puts his work before the relationship," you are focusing on a man who puts work before love and that is the desire you are unconsciously sending out through your energy.
“I loved your workshop Opening to Abundance. After doing some of the processes for just a few weeks, I opened the mail and had about three envelopes containing unexpected cheques come to me. I immediately went into another list of appreciation- and another abundance process. And more money came, through more clients and a generous gift from a family member.”
Great article, it’s so encouraging to see others having success using the LOA. It’s totally changed my life in the past 4 years. It took me from a single mom with not a penny to my name, to living my dream life, manifesting 2 vision boards. It’s a total life changer. I have lots of proof on my blog where i’ve posted each step of my journey. Keep up the good work!
Post it everywhere! You can post on message boards and newsgroups (there are thousands). You can send an e-mail to your own e-mail list. Post it to any newsgroup, forum or comments section that you feel people who see it would be interested benefiting from this method as well. Use blogs, social networking, pintrest, and online classifieds. You may need to post it close to 200 times to get the results you desire, but there are over 100,000 places you can post this. And remember, the more you post, the more you will earn!
Our thoughts often show unexpected stubbornness when we try to “discipline” them – they easily wonder off or turn into something we didn’t want. For example, a simple visualization exercise of a car you’re trying to manifest can turn into a nightmare when your kids appear in it out of nowhere and start trashing your beautiful car – this image also came from inside your mind, but it’s not the direction you intended your visualization to take.
read yr’s and jasons comments on phil’s. I believe in law of attraction because I have experienced it many a times, even the most impossible things have happened. But only in one matter, I have been trying for last 9 months. i know the person will come back to me, but 1 week i will be positive then my faith is wavering and my mind puts up so many logics and obvious reasons how it cannot happen (and believe me all my fears are also coming true) I am totally confused and dejected. pl. do guide me to overcome my fear and panic and believe and just let go
“I wanted to write in and thank you and share a testimonial about your work that may help others: I had tried it all- online dating, offline dating, blind dates- you name it. After doing your workshop about love a few years ago I realised that I was trying too hard to ‘make it happen’ out of fear that if I didn’t do anything, nothing would happen. But nothing was happening even with all my work- worse than nothing actually- a lot of pain and disappointment. The more I dated the more doubtful I became that I’d ever meet ‘the one’. So I threw myself into my work, writing every day on the Universe List to ‘Bring me my husband in the perfect time’ and ‘bring me more interests’. I also started doing a daily appreciation list and got involved in some new projects to distract me from my dating obsession.
When you meditate, that is your time it just sit in a quiet space and allow yourself to just chill and just be. It is not a time to think or to focus on what you want, but is instead the time you want to quiet your mind. You want to take just 10–15 minutes to sit in a quiet space and to just focus on one specific thing, for as long as you can during that time. It could be a mantra you repeat in your head, or a sound, like a ticking clock, or the sound of a fan. Something that is constant and repetitive, and easy to focus on. Because, when you stop thought and just focus on the one thing a few things begin to happen.
“Thank you for all of your help this year. Your work is extraordinary. I had been single for many years- the occasional date but nothing serious. In July I met a man and we have been enjoying life together ever since. I acknowledge myself for making my inner changes- but credit is seriously due to your workshops and groups; and the space they gave me to discover myself again.”
You have no idea the million different ways you can meet someone. Sure, it may be through the typical avenues, like a mutual friend or a blind date. Or, it could happen in the most unexpected, and craziest of ways—the type of situation that makes a great ‘how we met’ story. So, do your best to stop trying to figure out how you would meet this person. Don’t look at the current framework of your life as some sort of filter through which you sift possibilities.
