I gained a good friend in sixth or seventh grade, and we hung out nearly every day. However, in the beginning of eight grade, she moved away to Michigan. She had given me her number, but I lost it! In my freshman year of high school one day, I just thought to myself, “I wonder how my friend is doing? I really want to talk to her.” I didn’t really think much of it though. It was just a passing thought. Later within the year, my mom came up to me and handed me a number. I asked her who’s number it was, and she told me that my friend’s mother had contacted my school to in order to hunt me down. She called and gave my mom her number so I could call my friend! O_O At the time, I wasn’t even thinking about LOA, but now as I look back, I realized it was! (I was just introduced to “The Secret” in eight grade too).

It’s important to understand that mindfulness isn’t about changing anything or trying to understand it. This is because the analytical and judgement aspects — our automatic reactions — are unhealthy and actually perpetuate the problem. It reinforces the connection in our brain between the action and the negative feeling. To release that connection, approach it without judgement. Let it be.
I've been reading about the law of attraction for a few months, and have enjoyed feeling happier and seeing "the world conspire to grant me my wishes" as I read somewhere. And amazingly enough, it also works for love! Truly does. And while you wait for things to happen (and trust me, they will) you become a happier, healthier person. What's not to love??
And then, sometimes I think that the current relationship will eventually end in some way if the person working consciously with LOA makes such dramatic shifts that she and her current partner are just too far away from each other vibrationally. This could definitely happen without your ending it specifically–the other person could end it, it could be mutual and amicable, something could happen that creates a large rift and you both can’t see a way to move past it, or you may decide to end it and it won’t feel as scary as it may currently because you just know it is the right thing to do. I don’t think being unhappy with a relationship as it currently is now is an absolute sign that it is not right..ultimately, it depends on so many individual factors, and as the person doing the LOA work gets deeper and more in touch with what is happening, she will have a sense of what she really wants and how she thinks it will play out. It does take a degree of honesty that can feel a bit uncomfortable, but necessary.

This step is important because those competing signals can be quite strong. Weaken the signal or change the direction of those thoughts like this: Approach those feelings with the love and compassion that you would feel towards a lonely, small child or a hurt animal. When you love yourself, you open up the possibility to receive your greatest desires, and you begin to only desire the things that are best for you.

For example, your shift in beliefs and energy may help you line up with a different version of your partner more often that is more conducive to what you prefer, and you find you are happier in this relationship and don’t feel like you necessarily want a new one.

Realize you will likely have smaller manifestations first that show you are lining up more with what you want, like noticing more people you find attractive, when before, you saw no one, meeting people that have desirable qualities that you note as being important in a partner, or seeing more people "like you" in happy relationships, whether they are overweight, divorced or whatever personal characteristic that you think makes finding love harder.


At the end of the experiment, those who imagined they were physically younger showed signs of de-aging. Blood pressure was lowered, arthritis was diminished and even eyesight and hearing in this control group improved. By simply imagining themselves younger, some physical aging was actually reversed. Their thoughts and imagination made this happen.
I have some questions about letting go of resistance. Looking back, I could finally let go of resistance by going on lots of dates and making myself exhausted, get sick and tired of trying to find the right guy. And after that moment, I could finally surrender and manifest guys that I actually wanted to be with. So maybe it could be one of the ways that people can let go of resistance? Is this the hard way?
See I never said that you just think about getting a CEO’s job and sit relaxed at home, apply LOA and it will come to you (it’s really impossible). The thing is, that you have to think and act in a certain way, with full of positivity and firm belief that this is going to happen soon. And the best thing is that it doesn’t ask for your money… All it needs is your positive thinking and strong belief. I don’t think there is any harm in doing it rather than criticising it.
Remember, there are infinite ways to resolve a situation. Even though you’re used to believing that the worst-case scenario always becomes your reality, the best-case scenario has the same potential to come true as the worst-case scenario. They are both imaginary thoughts about the future waiting to be born into reality. You’re the one who tips the scales in the direction of favorable resolution or unfavorable resolution.

I have been researching and experimenting with the LoA for several years now, I started by reading the Cosmic Ordering books by Barbel Mohr, then the Louise Hay Book (You Can Heal Your Life) and then moved onto the LoA more specifically. Through clarifying what I want, focusing everything on this and being determined, I achieved what I could only explain as small miracles! I was miserable, living in a small town where I had no money, no job opportunities, a degree in something that I have no passion for, and a relationship that was heading nowhere.

I had a choice – to do the easy option, hide from my fear of the unknown and stay in the situation where I would be avoiding what I really wanted, or make a change and take a risk to achieve what I wanted! I sat down and mapped out exactly what I wanted. I looked at a map of the world and looked at where made my heart happy at the thought of living there. Turns out it was Australia! The other side of the world. The rest of my list included: close friends, a fabulous apartment in the city, a good job, money, excitement and adventure, city life, warmth, sunshine, travel and a wonderful boyfriend.

Emotional Charge: Emotionalize that goal (why do you want it, how will it change your life, in what ways will it bring you happiness, etc.). The idea is to increase and amplify the desire for it from a place of the heart. This powerfully imprints the vibration of your goal into your subconscious mind as you take inspired action towards what you want to achieve.


No matter what your age, meditation is one of the easiest ways to improve your health. Research at the Medical College of Georgia found that meditation lowered blood pressure and reduced the risk of heart disease and stroke. Additional studies have demonstrated meditation can reduce chronic pain, decrease levels of stress and pain in cancer patients, and reduce symptoms in patients with fibromyalgia.
Thank so much chitownblu! You’re right that getting rid of resistance and attachment are key. Tapping works well for this. Also, remember to focus on what you want. You descussed that you’re aware your desire has not manifested. That’s living from a point of what is, not from what you want. You’re giving energy to creating more of what you don’t want by doing this. It could also be a factor in things not attracting your specific person as your vibration is closer to alignment with not being with him, than being with him.
But, once you start seeing your external experience is a mirror of what you feel and believe, you will make the amazing realization that changing your internal world will change what you bring into your life. If you don’t believe you have to settle or compromise, you won’t. If you believe you will find the right person, you will. If you know you don’t have to end up alone, you won’t. Sound too simplistic? Is the skeptical part of you being activated and resisting this? Are you thinking of all your experiences that have ‘proved’ your current set of beliefs, beyond a shadow of a doubt, and saying to yourself that I don’t know what the hell I am talking about? But, this is really all there is to it.Life is so much easier than we make it out to be.
Focus on understanding your part in this overall process, rather than feeling guilty or ashamed. Recognizing how your fears have manifested in your life does not mean that the bad things in your life are your fault. It simply means that the Law of Attraction has responded to the signal you sent out. Just acknowledge that the system works and your new awareness will guide you. No need to shame yourself or even feel responsible.
You don’t have to go out on dates with people you’re not interested in, nor try to do something that goes against your own values. Notice what things or people you are consciously or unconsciously drawn to.  You might be lead into amazing, rewarding, or at the very least a growing experience! Be willing to trust that inner voice and be open to the mystery that comes from there.
For example, these negative beliefs are like big holes in your container. Take a container and fill it with water. Water will not stay in the container if it has holes in it. The negative beliefs are like those holes in your container of prosperity. The more holes the less you can have. Unfortunately for many people, their container has nothing to hold at the bottom, forget about the holes.

There is a process to it too. What really happens (this is my own break down of the law) is that once we focus on something we want; our mind starts to calculate how to get that desire met. Then we start to put those thoughts into actions, resulting in us achieving what we want without consciously calculating how to do it. When we couple our desires with conscious and strategic planning, we can achieve almost anything.


Within a week I took the first temp job that got offered to me. On the first day of the job I spotted a gorgeous man who is now my boyfriend. The job ended up sponsoring me to live here despite me having no experience or background in the role or industry! After weeks of viewing disgusting, expensive apartments my friend took one quick look on gumtree (which I had refused to look on) and the first place that came up was a block away from where we were sat sipping coffee.Turns out it was a huge room in a beautiful city apartment with ridiculously and unusually affordable rent, living with who is now my best friend in the whole world, I have more money than I ever had back home and am constantly having adventures and fun.
But it’s only when you are okay with not being with them, that you open the path for the Law of Attraction to attract your specific person to you. Until you’re okay with not being with him/her, a part of you is resisting and making it impossible for you to have what you want. This means, according to the Law of Attraction, that until you’re okay with possibly losing him/her, it will be difficult for you to have the relationship you want with him/her. You have to be okay with not having him/her.
