Hi Elizabeth, I’ve read your book (loved it!) and the “rules” for those of us who want to manifest an ex, seem a little more demanding and complex… What if your ex wants nothing to do with you, or appears not to want to? What if they are telling everyone they are moving on and happier without you and are going toward greener pastures and they are open to meeting someone new? Secondly, how does one visualize happiness when still hurting, and how does one visualize good things and “let it go” when the memory of the breakup is still recent and fresh. Any tips on how to switch off emotional pain and memories, and just concentrate on the good? I just feel that manifesting an ex back is a great deal more challenging (and yes it is him I really want) because of the history there which simply can’t be erased or forgotten….
Many people are guilty of continuously repeating negatives either in thoughts or words. A negative mindset can be representative of a current life situation and attracting negatives can be living proof that the law of attraction works. Attracting positives and getting out of the routine of negative thinking can be possible with visualizations, affirmations, and manifestations.
When you understand the answers to these types of questions about manifesting your soulmate, your mind and heart begin to focus on trying to find love that is based on true mutual understanding and excitement. You can do all kinds of creative techniques to bolster the designing of your life partner. For example, Law of Attraction experts recommend daily visualization exercises in which you conjure up a vivid sense of what your life partner would be like. Meanwhile, you can also create a dream board that represents all the traits you’re looking for and your image of how this relationship will improve your life.
Hi Phill, your article is a great inspiration, I came across this Law of attraction for the first time early last month in Oprah Winfre’s website, though I believe in the law but sometimes discouraged , your article is a great booster to me, your explanations are more detailed and I will pick up from there with perseverance , any further help will be appreciated .
If I attempt to manifest money, do I have to do something to get it? I have read stories where they follow steps similar to yours and the money might appear in there mailbox without the having to think of a ‘million dollar idea’ Please respond to this if you see it :) I am only a 13 year old girl, I believe that this will work and I wanted to get your opinion on it :)
Affirm your belief in your soulmate. While you’ve already worked hard to combat limiting beliefs and create a clear image of the person you want to be with, you make it easier for the Universe to send that person your way if you constantly stay connected to your belief that they exist. Try daily affirmations (written or spoken) like “I am looking for love, and my soulmate is on their way to me”. Plus, “Nothing will stop me from receiving the love of my soulmate.”
Most people live in this negative realm, so it’s considerably difficult to manifest money, or anything else for that matter, when this is the case. However, when you know that something will happen, your faith helps you to transcend that fear. This won’t work in the short term. The Law of Attraction takes considerable energy produced over an elongated period. Not days or weeks. Think months and years.
Manifesting wealth isn’t just about connecting money with happiness. It’s also about looking at the reality of your financial situation and acting accordingly. So, be honest with yourself. Look at all your finances, including debts. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help if you need it. Friends, family, and financial advisers can all help you draw up a plan to improve the situation.
Hey Phil, my friend Claire sent this over after seeing me last night for the first time in months. I have been obsessively working on a project / startup to use rock climbing and adventure to help at-risk kids in the slums of Brazil. Check out our video if you are interested (www.indiegogo.com/adventureforgood) but that project is really not the focus. What I found is that although I love what I am doing and believe in it completely, I have been stressed out of my mind and without realizing it, I have been manifesting this stress into all aspects of my life and sometimes into the energy of my campaign. Reading your blog I was reminded of how important it is to manifest not only what you want but also how you want to feel. That energy is so important and certainly dictates how people feel around you. I have been bringing my computer to bed and stressing out over emails until I fall asleep… NOT healthy. This post really helped me reflect on practicing not only the law of attraction but the law of ‘feeling good’. Hope to bump into you around Boulder Phil.
You stop all other thoughts. When you meditate and you give your attention to that singular thing you stop all other thoughts. In the simple, deliberate act of focusing on one sound, you give pause to all the other stuff in your head. (You may lose focus at times and begin to have thoughts about this and that, and that’s OK. When this happens just gently shift your attention back to the sound).
Develop a belief in what I call the “reverse paradigm shift”. In other words, go for it before you have all the answers. Those so called negative energies (known as cognitive dissonance) are actually the magical seeds of creation and unlimited possibilities. Your destiny and your abundance will always be preceded by confusion and uncertainty. Ask anyone who’s been on the journey.
I don’t have any rituals per se, but there are certain things I do that help me feel more abundant. When I am enjoying something I paid for, whether a tasty meal, a massage or something else that gives me pleasure in some way, I really try to tune into the feeling of appreciation I have for it, and the sense of contentment I feel in that moment. I also try to develop a sense of appreciation for having money to pay bills..rather than feel like I am putting my money towards something I don’t want to put it towards, I express appreciation that I have the money to pay the bill. Awhile back, I went through really bad times financially, and the inability to pay my bills created a lot of shame and embarrassment, and I am happy not to be experiencing that anymore.
“What I most love about this work is how Life sorts everything out once you step out of the way. I sent out a request for a new partner and more fun and, realising I had been trying so hard to get these things to happen (online dating, speed dating, blind dates, dating clubs, looking for men in supermarkets with no success at all, I gave up and handed it over to Life on the Universe List . What really helped me, too was throwing myself into sports. I realised my previous hobby had been ‘looking for a boyfriend’ and I needed a new one. This request to ‘bring me an enjoyable hobby where I can meet likeminded friends’ again went on the Universe List . I was drawn to join a local swimming club and a running club and started doing these activities three times a week. It felt good to me to know that not only did running and swimming feel good, but as I was participating, ‘my team’ (as I call the Universe) was sorting out my relationship behind-the-scenes. I started to relax about the relationship subject, feeling less desperate. And in a short time, I have met some great men through the groups and one of them is very close to my ideal – I’ll let you know how it goes.”
3. When I wasn’t working in the restaurant in Tel Aviv I would stay with my Israeli boyfri end. He would work and I would stay home with his mother and grandmother, neither of whom could speak English. With no English conversation, TV or books I would go a little stir crazy waiting for my boyfriend to return at 6:30pm. So I decided to try another test. This time I repeated ‘Ofer is home at 5:00pm. Another unheard of situation. Still, this was a test. Let’s see what happens. Low and behold, 5:00pm on the dot he pulls into the driveway!!
That night, I laid on the cold hardwood floor in our living room, my hair matted to the side of my head with tears that had finally run dry from my own dehydration. The only thought that floated in my semi-conscious brain was, “How the hell can I do this?” I’d tried so hard to think of a plan, anything, but nothing came, except that question over and over again. It seemed completely impossible. Yet somehow in that moment survival mode also kicked in, and with it came even more questions. Of course we’d have to move right away, but where? I didn’t have family who could take us in. And we’d need to sell everything we owned, but how? And I’d need a job, but doing what? And how could I afford to work when daycare would take up most of my salary?
Your experience is a common one with manifesting, regardless of the desire. We do all this work, inner and outer, we don’t get the results we want, we get super-pissed, say f$ck it, and give up. Then usually some good stuff comes in from the positive momentum that has been built up, now that the massive resistance has diminished. Now, while doing a lot of stuff that makes us feel badly, or taking a lot of action for a long time without results, usually leads us to a point where we surrender, it is not the best approach to take because it isn’t necessary. It’s not something you want to consciously do. You don’t want to force yourself into surrender. You can take action if you feel compelled, but just make sure it feels good, and you don’t get attached to those channels as being the way that person must come to you.
I worked with a professional footballer once. He was getting very nervous about shooting goals. He kept missing even though he was very talented. I insisted that he kept watching himself on TV scoring goals and burned that image into his consciousness. I didn’t want him thinking about anything else. Every time he had a negative thought he was to switch that picture, either on the TV or on the TV in his mind. And he was to surround the thought with positive emotions of love and respect for himself.
As with all Law of Attraction work, trying to manifest love requires you look at the underlying assumption that holds you back. In this case, limiting beliefs that might block you from finding love. Try to write them down first. Then identify where they came from. Most importantly, write down a contradictory belief that you can then turn into a daily affirmation. Here is an article to get you started with three tips for creating powerful affirmations.
